Amazon Kindle

A large reading library for Android

Amazon Kindle turns an Android phone or tablet into a portable reading app for books, magazines, newspapers, comics, manga, and audiobooks. It suits readers who want access to a broad catalogue without carrying a separate e-reader, as well as anyone who moves between different devices.

Find something to read

Browse Kindle books by genre, including romance, science fiction, children’s books, self-help, religion, and nonfiction. You can explore new releases and best sellers, open samples before choosing a title, and find books with Audible narration. Kindle Unlimited members can read and listen across its included catalogue, while eligible Prime members can access selected books, magazines, and comics.

• Adjust font size, typeface, margins, alignment, and screen orientation.
• Choose page turning or continuous scrolling, with brightness and background options for different reading conditions.
• Look up words, people, and places with dictionary, translation, Wikipedia, and search tools.
• Save bookmarks, highlights, and notes for later reference.
• Check reading progress and estimated time remaining based on your reading speed.

Keep your place across devices

The app synchronizes your current position, bookmarks, highlights, and notes, making it easier to continue a book on another device. Page Flip provides a quick overview when you need to skim or move between sections, while zoom supports detailed viewing in color images, magazines, comics, and manga.
